ACCE initiated the Global Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage Summit (GCCUSS) in 2010, with the support from Global CCS Institute, China Huaneng Clean Energy Research Institute, American Electric Power, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Clean Air Task Force. It is the 1st of this kind event in Asia focus on CCUS, and recognised by stakeholders in global CCUS community.
The State of Qatar and the Republic of Korea have agreed to closely cooperate to make the next major UN Climate Change Conference at the end of 2012 a success. The 2012 UN Climate Change Conference, COP 18/CMP 8 (the 18th Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC, plus the 8th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol), will take place in Qatar from 26 November to 7 December 2012.
Cleaner Fossil Energy: Securing a Cleaner Energy Future, the 2012 APEC Clean Fossil Energy Technical and Policy Seminar has been organised under the direction of the (APEC) Expert Group on Clean Fossil Energy (EGCFE) Steering Committee.

Petra Nova Carbon Capture, operational since January 2017, is the world's largest post-combustion CO2 capture system presently in operation. Production unit 8 of the W. A. Parish power plant near Houston, Texas, was retrofitted with a 1.4 Mtpa post-combustion CO2 capture facility. The captured CO2 is transported via pipeline to an oil field near Houston for enhanced oil recovery.
