SaskPower CCS Information & Planning Symposium
SaskPower believes that global CCS knowledge will grow as information is shared. The SaskPower CCS Global Consortium has been created for CCS leaders around the world to access their Boundary Dam project experience from concept to completion, including: financing, construction, operationalization and monitoring. This creates a conduit for global expertise to unite and explore new technologies that use one of the world’s most abundant, cost effective and secure fuel sources – coal.
To facilitate the launch of the SaskPower CCS Global Consortium, SaskPower will host a three day CCS Information and Planning Symposium on May 21 - 23, 2013. This will allow prospective members to inform the technical report offering of the Consortium. The event will also include a number of international speakers on CCS as well as a full-day tour of Boundary Dam, Aquistore, and a CO2 injection site with the IEAGHG Weyburn-Midale CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project.
